Age Friendly Task Force

The Age Friendly Task Force is a subcommittee of the Parks and Recreation Commission. Made up of community members, the task force plans activities, improvements, and programs of special interest to older adults in an effort to promote healthy and active aging. The Town of Fairfax has been a part of the Global Network of Age Friendly Cities by the World Health Organization since early 2015.

Current task force members include:  Jody Timms, Chair, Barbara Coler, Jackie Engstrom, Francie Bedinger,  Anne Mannes, Jessica Price and Susan A. Brandborg. If you'd like to learn more about our activities or possibly volunteer, please join us at our monthly meeting.

The Task Force meets every month on the 4th Friday from 9:15 -10:30am on Zoom.

Visit our Online Class page to get information about how to join the Zoom meeting.

Meetings are open to the public, so please feel free to join us.
