Short-Term Rental Program
Starting April 15, 2024, all short-term rentals in the Town of Fairfax are required to register with the Town annually, pay the registration fee, and begin collecting and remitting Hotel User's Tax (HUT).
Operating a Short-Term Rental without registering the unit with the Town violates Town Code and is subject to citations, fines, and/or other administrative fees. The Town of Fairfax enforces its Short-Term Rental Regulations to ensure fairness for all Short-Term Rental and Lodging operators and to maintain quality of life for its residents.
