Proclamation Honoring and Thanking Dirk Ooijkaas for His Contributions to the Fairfax Community

At the April 3 Town Council meeting, the Town Council presented a proclamation and a plaque to members of Dirk Ooijkaas’ community. The plaque will be hung in the Women’s Club to honor Dirk and his contributions to the Fairfax community.

Proclamation Thanking Sean Youra for His Work as the Town’s Climate Action Coordinator

Sean Youra, Town of Fairfax’s recent Climate Action Coordinator was presented with a proclamation thanking him for his dedication and diligent efforts in progressing Fairfax and San Anselmo into more climate conscience communities.

Congratulations to Sean on his new role, the Town Council thanks you for your invaluable service.

80 Crest Road—Appeal of Planning Commission

The Town Council held a public hearing regarding the appeal of a Planning Commission decision regarding 80 Crest Road. The Council voted 4-1 to deny the appeal and uphold the decision of the Planning Commission but delay enforcement until the property transfers ownership.

Resident Petition regarding the homeless encampment in town

Residents of Fairfax submitted a petition to discuss the homeless encampment in town. Gary Naja-Riese, Homelessness and Whole Person Care Director at Marin County Health and Human Services joined the conversation.
