How to Participate

The regular (not special) Town Council and Planning Commission meetings are streamed live during the meeting in the viewer below. Note, this viewer ONLY works during the actual meeting time. After the meeting, the video recording can be accessed on the Town Council and Planning Commission Meeting Archives.

Regular Town Council and Planning Commission meetings may also be viewed live on Cable TV  Ch 27 and Ch 99) and online at the Community Media Center of Marin web site. Repeat cablecasts of these meetings are also scheduled on Marin TV, dates and times available online.

Special meetings are available to watch on Zoom. A link to join a special meeting on Zoom will be posted here prior to the meeting. If you do not wish to use Zoom, you may listen to the meeting by telephone by calling (669) 900-9128, and entering the meeting ID (Please see the Town Council or Planning Commission Agenda for the meeting ID).

 

How to Comment at a Virtual Meeting

Use the Public Comment Form below during the meeting only. Comments received during the corresponding item will be read out loud at the meeting, subject to the 3-minute/400-word limit.

Email during the meeting with AGENDA ITEM # in the subject line. For Town Council Meetings: mgardner@townoffairfax.org. For Planning Commission meetings: lneal@townoffairfax.org. Comments received during the corresponding item will be read out loud on your behalfat the meeting, subject to the 3-minute/400-word limit.

By telephone: dial (669) 900-9128.  (You can press *67 before dialing to hide your telephone number.)  When prompted, enter the  meeting ID # (Please see the Town Council or Planning Commission Agenda for the meeting ID).  To speak  during the public comment time, press *9 and you will be added to the queue and  unmuted when it is your turn.

On Zoom , to  speak during the public comment time, press the Raise Hand icon and you will be added to  the queue and called on when it is your turn.  Meeting ID# (Please see the Town Council or Planning Commission Agenda for the meeting ID).

To comment on any item before a meeting, members of the public are always welcome to submit written comments to the Town Council and Planning Commission. Such comments become part of the meeting record.

Comments submitted via this form are only available for LIVE, REAL TIME TOWN COUNCIL and PLANNING COMMISSION Meetings.

There are two types of public comments permitted:

Open Time for Public Expression: Open Time is for items NOT on the agenda and takes place at the beginning of the meeting. If your comment is intended for Open Time, please indicate it in the checkbox below.

Public Comment: Each item on the agenda has a public comment period. If your comment is related to a specific item on the agenda, please indicate it in the space below.

If you would like to comment on more than one agenda item, please complete a distinct form for each agenda item.

The Public Comment form is offline. It will be "live" during the next regular TC or PC meeting.
