The Marin Wildfire Prevention Authority (MWPA) is hiring TWO Vegetation Management Specialists.
This is a professional classification that performs a wide variety of responsible, project-based, complex, and analytical work. Assignments will include:
- Office/remote planning and environmental compliance work that requires excellent written and oral communication skills
- Field work implementing vegetation treatment projects including, but not limited to, shaded fuel breaks, the chipper program, defensible space adjacent to homes and communities, roadside vegetation management, and prescribed herbivory operations to improve wildfire safety.
Field work will include considerable outdoor work, including travel by vehicle and on foot to perform pre-work surveys for nesting birds or other biological resources, management of crews conducting vegetation management activities, and monitoring.
