The Town has made minor administrative corrections to the Action Plan contained within the adopted Fairfax Housing Element, 2023-31. The adopted Housing Element is currently under review by the California Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD) and after a phone consultation with Town staff, a clarification was requested by HCD related to the ministerial processing of affordable housing projects. Specifically, any project with at least 20 percent of units affordable to lower income households within the Workforce Housing Overlay zone are entitled to a ministerial approval if consistent with established object design and development standards.
