Defensible Space Evaluations are coming to your neighborhood!

Dspace inspections

In a collaborative and ongoing effort to enhance wildfire safety, the local fire departments are working closely with the community on effective vegetation management around your homes. This initiative not only facilitates safer evacuations but also plays a crucial role in slowing the spread of wildfires.

From now until the end of June, as weather and conditions permit, residents in the Bothin, Glen and Baywood Canyon, and Fairfax Bolinas Road neighborhoods will receive Wildfire Defensible Space and Home Hardening Evaluations. Uniformed Fire Inspectors will assess the required vegetation maintenance and offer additional recommendations to further protect your homes from wildfires.

It is important to maintain your property’s vegetation throughout the fire season and not wait for an inspection to take action. For those who have had evaluations in the past, you can review your previous reports by visiting dspace.marinwildfire.org and entering your address. If you need a unique property code, simply follow the prompts on the website.
