The public comment period to participate in the survey being conducted as part of the Objective Design and Development Standards (ODDS) planning effort in Fairfax and other Marin communities is ending on June 30. This will be Fairfax residents’ last opportunity to take the survey, which is an important opportunity to have your views heard on the future design of multifamily housing in downtown Fairfax,. The link to the survey follow: https://www.marincounty.org/depts/cd/divisions/planning/long-range-planning-initiatives/objective-design-and-development-standards
In collaboration with ten other jurisdictions (including the County of Marin, who is coordinating the effort) the Town of Fairfax is working on Objective Design and Development Standards (ODDS) for residential development in Fairfax. Due to COVID-19 community health concerns and the Shelter-in-place order, planned public workshops have been cancelled, and replaced with an online recording, community survey, and additional information – click on this link to view the County website. You can also read staff reports on this topic from the February 20 and April 16 Planning Commission meetings. Please review the material and take the online survey, to let decisionmakers know your thoughts about community design and development standards.
The Fairfax Planning Commission and a design team lead by Opticos will be holding a virtual (Zoom) meeting to discuss Objective Design and Development Standards (ODDS) on Wednesday May 27 from 6:30 to 8:00 pm to which any interested person are invited to attend. Please click here to see a flyer containing more details including how to participate in the meeting. We hope to hear from you.
